Slow Cooker Chicken Marsala (Gluten Free!)

Slow Cooker Chicken Marsala is tender chicken breast slow cooked in a sauce of Marsala wine, garlic, thyme, and mushrooms. It's a really easy way to make your favorite Italian restaurant dish, and it's gluten free!

Ingredients
  • 5 large chicken breasts boneless, skinless
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 3 cups mushrooms sliced
  • 1 cup Marsala wine
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp 1/2 & 1/2
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley chopped
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
Instructions
  1. Place chicken breast in the slow cooker with seasonings, onion, butter,  mushrooms, and Marsala wine. Cook on HIGH 3 1/2 hours, or LOW 7 1/2 hours. 
  2. After time is up, in a small bowl whisk together water, corn starch, and 1/2 & 1/2. Pour over chicken and close lid for an additional 1/2 hour. 
  3. Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve.
